Rebuilding Lives. Restoring Hope.
Jamaica Needs You - Remember Every Arm Can Help ONE
Hurricane Melissa struck southwestern Jamaica as a Category 5 storm on October 28, leaving destruction unlike anything seen before. Families have lost homes, livelihoods, and hope.
Hurricane Melissa Relief Appeal
On October 28, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in southwestern Jamaica as a powerful Category 5 storm, leaving behind devastation unlike anything the island has ever seen. Entire communities were uprooted, and many of those most affected are among Jamaica’s most vulnerable. Across the world, individuals, groups, and countries are rallying to help — this is not the time to sit back and assume that others will take care of it. It’s easy to think, “My help won’t make a difference,” or “The government has this covered.” Every act of kindness counts. The Reach One Foundation stands with the aching hearts of the Jamaican community to challenge this bystander effect. This is our moment to remember that “Every Arm Can Help One.” If you’re already part of relief efforts — keep going! If you’re wondering how you can help, consider partnering with us to bring hope and support where it’s needed most. We are working directly with Jamaicans in the diaspora who have family in the hardest-hit areas, and we’re partnering with community leaders and local charities on the ground to ensure aid reaches those in greatest need.
